NASCAR Pinty’s Series reveals diverse 13 race schedule

The True North Strong and Fast will feature 13 races on short tracks, road courses and city streets …

From Nova Scotia to Alberta, with a return visit to the United States, the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule was released on Thursday and features 13 of the most diverse races the True North and Fast could muster.

The Canadian national stock car tour’s 13th season will feature some of the most iconic tracks north of the border — including nine ovals, three road courses and two street races.

“The NASCAR Pinty’s Series is Canada’s premier motorsports series and features the top drivers and teams in the country,” said Gene Stefanyshyn, NASCAR chief international officer. “The 2019 schedule offers a variety of race tracks that will deliver more of the exciting side-by-side racing our passionate Canadian fans have come to expect.”

For the eighth consecutive season, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series will kick off at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario on Victoria Day weekend, May 19. The 2.459-mile road course has hosted the top racing series in the world for more than 50 years, and will welcome the Pinty’s Series back for a return visit on August 25 as part of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series event weekend

The season finale will again take place at Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagersville, Ontario with the Pinty’s Fall Brawl.

The two street course events return in the form of Exhibition Place in Toronto and Trois-Rivières. The Pinty’s Series will also return to the United States for the second season in a row at New Hampshire  Motor Speedway in September alongside the Whelen Modified Tour and K&N Pro Series East.

LP Dumoulin outdueled Alex Tagliani to capture the 2018 division championship. Both drivers are expected back to continue their battle.
