The TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will feature six races at six tracks in the state of Wisconsin.
It potentially will have a new look as it is one of the handful of divisions to have approved the next-generation Super Late Model body produced by Five Star Bodies. TUNDRA is short for the Unified Northern Drivers Racing Association, which was formed in 2011 as an alternative to weekly racing or the ARCA Midwest Tour.
Casey Johnson captured the championship in 2018 and is expected to chase another this coming summer.
“My biggest problem now is that you win one, then you forget about it so fast because you want to win the next one,” Johnson said. “I’ve never had time to actually reflect on my goals, but I always know whatever I’m competing in the following year, it’s not a complete goal unless I win the Championship. As long as I’m racing, my goals aren’t fulfilled because I have to just keep winning.”
For the sixth season in a row, TUNDRA will begin its campaign at Wisconsin International Raceway on Saturday, May 11. The series will also run summer races at Marshfield Motor Speedway, Dells Raceway Park, Jefferson Speedway, State Park Speedway and the championship race at Golden Sands Speedway on Monday, September 2.
Support divisions for the 2019 season will be named at a later date. The complete schedule can be found below.
