A new Tour Type Modified mini-series is set for two New England short tracks.
The discipline is set to return to White Mountain Motorsports Park and Thunder Road Speedbowl in 2019 with the debut of the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge. The mini-series includes three new events that intends to feature many of the top Tour Type teams and drivers in the Northeast.
It will also feature Legend Cars on the undercard. The events will feature some of the highest paying purses and most unique racing formats in the discipline today.
The first Bullring Bash event will take place on Sunday, June 16 at WMMP. It will be joined by previously announced events at WMMP on August 10, and Thunder Road Speedbowl on September 14.
“With the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge, we’re looking to take the promotion of Modified and Legends racing in New England to the next level,” said Bullring Bash founder Josh Vanada, a veteran of multiple national and regional motorsports promotions. “We’ve assembled a team of the most talented personnel available in order to put on three incredible events in 2019, and we’ll be racing at two of the most exciting facilities in New England in White Mountain Motorsports Park and Thunder Road Speedbowl. The stakes are high, and the intensity on-track will be even higher.”
Cris Michaud owns both tracks and fans have been demanding both Modifieds and Legends to return to the two bullrings.
“We’re looking forward to hosting the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge at Thunder Road and WMMP,” Michaud said. “It’s been a long time since Modifieds have raced at either facility, and a number of fans have told the various track management teams over the years that they hoped we would bring them back. We think the Bullring Bash is the right opportunity for us to do so.”
The three-event Bullring Bash calendar for the 2019 season is as follows:
- June 16, 2019: White Mountain Motorsports Park, North Woodstock, NH
- August 10, 2019: White Mountain Motorsports Park, North Woodstock, NH
- September 14, 2019: Thunder Road Speedbowl, Barre, VT
Further announcements regarding the inaugural Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge, including event distances, rules and regulations, sponsorships, and confirmed Modified and Legends Cars participants, will be made over the coming weeks and months leading up to the inaugural event.
