The Stock Car racing world turns its attention to Pensacola Florida at 5 Flags Speedway for the 51st Snowball Derby Super Late Model race this weekend.

There will be chances of rain showers throughout the weekend, but it doesn’t look like an entire wash.

For Friday afternoon and evening, right as time trials for the Super Late Models is scheduled to begin, there is an increased chance of scattered showers and storms that will take us into Saturday. It’s not a complete washout but scattered showers and storms are possible.

Saturday does look like the wettest day of the weekend when the track has scheduled final practice for both Late Model divisions, the last chance races for both marquee Late Model divisions and the Pro Late Model Snowflake 100.

Then for Sunday’s Main Event, the 51st Snowball Derby, showers and storms are most likely in the morning, leaving the afternoon and evening mostly dry. There is a slight chance of rain but overall, it looks dry later in the day on Sunday.

Odds of qualifying late Friday is around 80 to 85 percent but will need to watch radar and the skies for possible showers or storms. Going odds of racing Saturday around 3 percent because there is a higher chance of showers and storms then Sunday for the Snowball Derby we have an 80 percent chance of racing.

The entire weekend of racing can be viewed via Pay-Per-View on Speed51.com. Sunday’s main event can be purchased for $34.99.
