Bradley McCaskill, Grafix Unlimited pay tribute to Bobby Allison in Throwback 276

Grafix Unlimited

As the owner of his own car wrap enterprise, Bradley McCaskill has unlimited options when it comes to a race like the CARS Tour Throwback 276 next week.

For that race, scheduled for August 3-4, McCaskill will pay tribute to 1983 Winston Cup champion and three-time Daytona 500 winner Bobby Allison. The paint scheme is the one Allison ran in that 1983 season for DiGard Racing with crew chief Gary Nelson.

“It’s fun to mix it up a little bit from the normal day-to-day stuff,” McCaskill said of his company, Grafix Unlimited. “When designing these wraps, I also get to learn a lot about the history of each driver as we are researching them.”

In addition to Hut Strickin, who will be honored by his son Taylor with a throwback scheme, Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, Ron Hornaday Jr., Randy LaJoie and Robert Pressley will be on-hand to sign autographs and take part in a Q&A session before the race.

As is the case with all CARS Tour races, the Throwback 276 can be viewed live with a CARSTour.TV subscription package. A condensed version of the race will also air on MAVTV on September 6 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
